Beefeater The Beacon Dartford

20:26

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to review Beefeater,  The Beacon in Dartford. I wasn't going to turn down the chance to enjoy a good meal. With a voucher in hand I booked it for the start of a week.  I did this as I thought it would be a little quieter. Boy was I wrong. Being busy is always a good sign though.

I love the rebrand that Beefeater has had it feels more friendly, homely and welcoming. It's got a stylish modern and comforting feel to it that makes you feel right at home. Don't worry though I didn't take off my shoes.

Part of Beefeater's refurbishment at The Beacon in Dartford is the seating and space. They've always had strong family values at the forefront but the creation of seating areas for a bigger parties is a lovely new addition. It makes the perfect place for a date night, family gatherings or a catch up with friends.

I was surprised when I stepped in though, as it looked a lot smaller from the outside. Inside it was a whole other ball game. It was so spacious.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Obviously that's what's expected but I don't think they are credited enough. Our waitress was a steak expert who could advise you if needed. It's the little things like that which makes Beefeater a great restaurant.

On to the meal. Any excuse to show you what I ate. For me Beefeater have a classic mix of budget friendly dishes. Just because they're budget friendly doesn't mean you lose out though. Their dishes were yummy. Ian always says you can tell I'm enjoying my food when I don't say a word and enjoy it. Let's say when the food was there I barely said a word. What I love is the homely and comforting feel I get from the food. It's what adds to the whole Beefeater experience.

The starter was a sharing starter. The mix of things was super yummy and the perfect start for the meal. Now usual I go for a super sexy burger. I mean who wouldn't right?
This time I decided to go for a fish dish and wow. It totally blew me away. I've always thought of Beefeater as the place you go to have meat. I think a lot of people think that. If like me you've thought it, don't.

It didn't stop there we each had a dessert too. Dessert is always my favourite part of any meal. Especially when there is a brownie.

So whether you're looking to book a group meal or just want to go on a casual date Beefeater's got it covered.
